Stout Scarab
The outstanding Stout Scarab was
far ahead of its time. Its features include a rear engine, flow-through
ventilation, concealed running boards, aerodynamic styling and modular
seating.
Scarab production was limited to only nine cars, perhaps because in 1936 there were not many customers for a $5,000 car. However, Scarabs were purchased by some of America's industrial giants including the Wriglys, the Dows, the Strahanans (Champion Spark Plugs) and the Firestones.
